Oh boy did I love my short time with ICE!

Before I talk about what is good with ICE, let me quickly tell you why I am no longer with ICE.

When I heard President Trump call for retired Border Patrol Agents and ICE Officers to return to duty, I immediately applied. I applied knowing that I was going to take a position in federal immigration law enforcement that was going to be three levels below the rank I was at when I retired in 2021. I did it anyway. I applied to become an Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Deportation Officer knowing that once the people inside the agency but outside of law enforcement discovered that I have a successful podcast, Substack, books, and documentaries, well, my days were numbered from the beginning. I applied anyway.
