Frustrating Day!

I had the most frustrating day in the immigration world since I retired from the Border Patrol two years ago.

Yesterday, one of my sources from ICE contacted me and stated that approximately 6.5 million illegal aliens have been released into America with and without immigration court dates. This was something I already knew as Biden has arrested over 7 million illegal aliens and released the majority of them all. What I didn’t know was the dysfunction inside Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

The extremely frustrating part of my day was trying to understand the tangled web of misinformation and segmentation between the two major components of CBP – Border Patrol and ICE.

I spoke with several ICE Officers and Border Patrol Agents from frontline personnel to supervisors and what I learned was troubling.

When the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)

was created after 9/11, CBP was created under the DHS umbrella so that the newly created ICE and the Border Patrol could be partners in the fight to secure the border and remove illegal aliens and criminal aliens from our neighborhoods across America.

The partnership has been destroyed by the invasion and overwhelming numbers of illegal aliens entering our nation. One of the most disturbing facts that I discovered yesterday was that Border Patrol and ICE have no idea what the other is doing. There are no law enforcement activities between the two identities and both agencies are swimming in dysfunction, lies, and a complete lack of direction. As one Border Patrol Agent texted me yesterday, “We are betraying our oath!”
