WHAT’S THE END RESULT
One of my favorite authors and modern historians is Pat Buchanan. In 2006, I remember I was on vacation celebrating my one-year marriage anniversary and I was sitting by the pool reading Death of the West by Pat Buchanan. I know, what was I doing reading Death of the West when I had a beautiful young wife… my only excuse was I had been in the U.S. Border Patrol for nine years and I had been living and breathing the lies and corruption of the federal government’s immigration laws. I knew that my career was intertwined with corrupt politicians, crazed civil rights activists and sadly incompetent leaders within the Border Patrol. Because of this realization, I wanted to be the most informed person on immigration.
I knew Buchanan’s book was five years old at the time, but I will never forget reading the first few chapters and thinking that this guy can see the future. For what Buchanan was warning about in 2001, was happening in 2006. Buchanan used California as the example of what will ultimately happen if we allowed millions upon millions of illegal aliens to flood into our country. He described what was occurring when we had 11 million illegals in the U.S. Now with that number close to 30 million illegals, everything Buchanan foresaw has multiplied exponentially.
California was once the most beautiful place I had ever seen. I moved there in the late 90’s and I remember thinking that California was even more beautiful and more magical than the movies and television portrayed her. She was clean, prosperous and opportunity was everywhere. That is the past.
California’s demographics have completely shifted. Trash and graffiti are everywhere. The English language at best became equal to and at worst dominated by Spanish. Crime has risen to unbelievable levels and American precedents of law and order that were once cherished are now demonized. California once had tens of billions in surplus, now she is projected to be 25 billion in the red in year 2023. Taxes are through the roof to support the ever-increasing social welfare costs. Cost of living is suffocating, and housing costs are beyond comprehension. Communities are balkanized and the American culture and her norms are foreign in our own country. Flags of other nations fly proudly while the American flag is seen as a symbol of hate. The police are vilified, and those same officers have become slow to respond to crime. Generations now have split allegiance to the United States of America. These children of illegal aliens live in this country but support their “home country” on our soil. The wealthy corporate elites have seen their riches multiple tenfold while the average resident of California struggles. California went from a consistent Republican state to now being a super majority state of Democrats. The way of life has been turned upside down as homelessness has spread like a wildfire across the state. Hope is fading away as hundreds of thousands flee California to other states that share the same values. It has been a downward spiral and the speed is accelerating.
Does any of this sound like what is happening to your community, city, or state?
