As in many difficult situations we find ourselves in life, we didn’t just end up in the situation. Instead, there was a series of bad decisions and ignoring the path we are on. If we are truly honest with ourselves, we would admit to, at times, knowingly taking the wrong.
The same theory applies to the government’s decisions on the border and illegal immigration. The difference is 99.9 percent of individuals will try with all their might to stop their downward spiral in their lives. We reach out to family, support groups, and many in their final moments of despair, call out to God.
When we reach out for help, no matter the levels of pain and suffering, we each truly want to get better and repent. rarely, if ever, does an individual intentionally sabotage or try to destroy oneself. And that is the difference between an individual and our government on the border and illegal immigration - The United States of America has intentionally and strategically destroyed the American immigration system to fundamentally transform America.
Th United States government does not want any help to correct their sins. Instead, they want to accelerate their intentional demise.
I dedicated a chapter in my book, Invaded, How Did We Get Here? This treason didn’t appear instantly, but it was a slow rise spanning decades.
CHAPTER 5
How Did We Get Here?
The complete destruction of the American immigration system did not happen overnight. It has been a slow burn of lies, manipulation and collusion between both political parties and the elites that run our country who have been sabotaging our country since the fraudulent 1965 Immigration Act through unfettered immigration, useless amnesties, and now wide-open borders. In 1924, America saw the need to curtail legal immigration and the Immigration Act of 1924 (Johnson-Reed Act) was passed by President Coolidge. This law established the United States Border Patrol. Historians are split on this Immigration Act of 1924 as one side claims xenophobia and the other side claims America needed a break from mass immigration and the lax assimilation causing our nation to balkanize. Sounds a lot like today! As I read through articles describing the concerns from Americans and their political representatives of that time, the concerns are the same as today. The labor market was flooded with unskilled cheap labor, the disproportion of immigrants from nations that did not share our cultural norms, beliefs and ideals, and the balkanization of our nation by nationalities. The biggest effect of this law was that it allowed America to determine who can immigrate to our country. The Johnson-Reed Act drastically cut legal immigration and put limits on immigrant nationalities to 2 percent of the total number of people of each nationality in the US and essentially stopped all immigration from Asia. It is always interesting as we look back through the lens of 2023 and wag our finger at the past and call it racist, xenophobic, and all the other vile names. However, name another nation that allowed unfettered immigration in 1924 and in present times and is a successful nation? Did Japan, whose citizens were affected by this 1924 law, allow then or presently allow anyone to enter into their country. Absolutely not! Russia? China? Mexico? Central American nations? African nations? The answer is no, they do not, and yet there are no cries of racism. Why is that? Maybe because outside the liberal mindset of most of the west, countries greatly value maintaining their culture, language, customs, and wellbeing of their citizens. The idea that America must open its doors to the rest of the world is insane. This insanity continues to the present day. The idea that Americans must change their cultural and societal norms to conform to foreigners is a mental illness. America is the greatest superpower in all of history. This did not happen overnight. We became great because every person that entered our nation as a legal immigrant became an American, spoke English, adopted our culture, and agreed to live in our society under American norms. We are great because we are Americans, not because we have balkanized communities within a nation. My argument throughout this book is that America has a moral right to maintain America as she is and to become what Americans want her to become. America, through her political leaders who are our representatives, has a moral obligation to ensure her sovereignty and greatness. That is not achieved by diluting the value of American citizenship and flooding our nation with illegal aliens. America also has the moral high ground and moral authority to demand that if you come into our nation as a legal immigrant, you must assimilate and become an American. Why is that so controversial?
Assimilation is paramount to the success of any country that takes in immigrants. The assimilation of America’s current immigrants and the millions of illegal aliens streaming into our towns, cities, and states is not happening.
Many in our country claim that this diversity is great for America. Somehow, speaking numerous languages, sharing no common ground on culture, and having no understanding of our nation’s history or government is going to make America stronger. The truth is that this diversity is a rot in our country. The values that once unified our nation are now in decline. A recent poll in 2023 showed steep declines in what we now claim as American values. The Wall Street Journal-NORC poll contrasted American values today compared to 1998. They found that the importance of patriotism dropped 32 percent. The importance of religion declined by 23 percentage points. Other areas of finance, work, and family also declined in importance. Does allowing millions of people from other countries to illegally enter America and that have no allegiance to the US play any role in this poll? American patriotism down by 32 percent! Diversity has made us divisive. The individuals making the diversity claim are ignorant pawns, but the elites and our political leaders know the rot is real and growing. Diversity to the political and elite class has a completely different meaning than it does to the average American. To the elites, diversity means separation and balkanization. To the average American, diversity means the convergence of ideas and life experiences that makes America great through the shared belief of what America is and what the responsibilities Americans must do to ensure our great nation continues.
Both legal and illegal immigrants left their homelands because they seek peace, opportunity, and freedom, all made possible by law and order. The irony is that the illegal aliens poured into our country against our law and created chaos instead of the order they desired. Name one aspect of the American way of life that is enhanced by more and more illegal aliens in our country. You can’t name one, but you can rattle off an endless list of what negatively occurs due to their unlawful presence.
Great historians possess the ability to investigate a past historical event and work backwards to discover and articulate the causes of this event’s success or failure. Historians will look at this current invasion of tens of millions of illegal aliens and work backwards to see the genesis of this great treason. The name that will pop up repeatedly in their investigations will be the late great “Lion of the Senate:” Ted Kennedy. Until his death, Senator Kennedy sponsored or cosponsored every immigration bill from the 1965 Immigration Act to the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA) that was Reagan’s debacle of amnesty. Never discount the effect a single man can have on a nation. In the case of illegal immigration, Ted Kennedy was that man.
And... great chapter! Great book! Thank you for your patriotic service!🪷🕊️🇺🇸
